Project Challenges & Goals: Senior leaders and team members across the enterprise found little value in off-the-shelf generic compliance training, that was often perceived as a check-the-box activity, and desired a custom training that was highly relevant, engaging, and had greater impact on team members and the overall enterprise.

During this phase I explored current trends and best practices for compliance training to for inspiration and ideas. I then conducted several focus groups with internal stakeholders utilizing empathy mapping and interviewing to gather insights on what team members think and feel, hear and see, say and do, and their pains and motivators as it relates to their experiences with compliance training and compliance related issues in the workplace. Once those were compiled I led collaborative design meetings with project partners across various internal teams and drafted a strategy blueprint that captured stakeholders insights and ideas on project challenges, desired outcomes, aspirations, focus areas, guiding principles, and activities/tactics. This further informed my proposed outline, storyboard, and prototype drafts. Feedback from project sponsors, key stakeholders, and prospective learners was solicited throughout the early stages of the project to ensure alignment with desired outcomes and business objectives.

Screenshots of my strategy blueprint and storyboard document are below.

Analysis & Design

Development

I created various draft versions in Storyline and gained iterative feedback along the way. For development of the relevant scenarios, I utilized Microsoft CoPilot to help write drafts of all the challenge scenarios and enlisted subject matter experts to finalize and fine tune scenario language. I also collaborated with our marketing and communications team on the development of scripts for training videos.
